Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Jon Frampton from University of Birmingham, U.K. Visited BJTU

On October 23, 2016, Vice President CHEN Feng met with the delegation from the University of Birmingham, U.K. led by Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Jon Frampton. The discussion focused on the future collaborations between the two universities.

At the beginning of the meeting, CHEN Feng expressed gratitude to Prof. Jon Frampton on attending the series events of 120th Anniversary of BJTU and gave positive comments on the significance of signing the agreement on student joint cultivation during the 120th Anniversary. CHEN Feng reviewed the cooperative history between the two universities and spoke highly of the achievements both sides made. He hoped that both sides could establish closer ties and comprehensive strategic partnership based on the existing cooperation by creating new cooperative models and enriching cooperative details.

Prof. Jon Frampton showed appreciation for the warm hospitality from BJTU. He said the cooperation between the two universities had been very fruitful. The University of Birmingham is willing to actively conduct deeper cooperation within related areas in broader extents, trying to create win-win situations.

Principals from the Office of International Affairs and Center for International Education were also present at the meeting.
