BJTU shares profound and friendly cooperative relations with TSU. In May 2012, approved by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), both sides jointly established the Confucius Institute. In April 2013, the Inauguration Ceremony for the Establishment of the TSU Confucius Institute was held in the U.S. During the two years, both sides have actively promoting cooperation in Chinese culture and international dissemination of Chinese language.

The TSU Tigers Men’s Basketball Team has ever won the championship of the 2014 U.S. Southwest Division. This visit would definitely deepen the mutual understandings of both universities and help promote deeper collaboration.
