
On the morning of June 22, 2026, Gao Liang, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice President, met with the visiting delegation headed by Tsogt, Deputy Director of Ulaanbaatar Railway Bureau and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Mongolia Railway University.
On behalf of the university, Gao Liang extended a warm welcome to Tsogt and the delegation. He noted that since 2005, BJTU carried out order-based railway talent training programs for Ulaanbaatar Railway Bureau, laying a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation. Going forward, BJTU will give full play to its strengths in Transportation Engineering, upgrade and deepen bilateral cooperation in improving the training quality of program students, developing high-level postgraduate and doctoral training programs, and conducting scientific and technological exchanges. It will continue to support connectivity in the transportation sector between China and Mongolia.
Tsogt expressed recognition and gratitude to the university for its long-term efforts in cultivating professional talents for Mongolia’s railway industry. He stated that the modernization of Mongolia’s railways is in urgent need of high-level professionals. He hoped that Mongolia Railway University would deepen academic and research exchanges with BJTU and launch joint training programs to supply talent for the development of Mongolia’s railway industry.
The delegation led by Tsogt also toured the Transportation Science Museum and held a meeting with program students studying at the university.
Representatives from International Affairs Office and College of International Education attended the meeting.
The order-based talent training program jointly run by BJTU and the Ulaanbaatar Railway Bureau boasts a history of over two decades, having cultivated more than 200 program participants to date. As an important practical achievement under the Belt and Road Initiative, the program facilitates people-to-people exchanges and transportation connectivity between China and Mongolia.
