James Myers, Associate Provost of International Education & Global Programs at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology), and Prof. John Tu, Vice Dean of the Sanders Business School, were received by Vice President GUAN Zhongliang on June 19, 2024.

GUAN Zhongliang gave the delegation a hearty welcome and gave them an overview of BJTU. He recalled the cordial links that have existed between BJTU and RIT over the years and urged both institutions to take use of the current Chinese-Foreign Joint Running School Programs to boost enrollment and raise the standard of instruction. He also stated that he hoped to improve professor and student mobility as well as collaborative research.

James Myers, Associate Provost, commended BJTU for the wonderful hospitality. Additionally, he reviewed the history of previous partnerships and indicated his readiness to use bilateral capabilities and resources to progress the initiatives in a high-quality manner.

Representatives from the School of Economics and Management, Weihai International College, and the Office of International Affairs also attended the conference.
