Vice President GUAN Zhongliang attends “The Second Work Conference of Sino-Russian Homogeneous University Alliance"

On April 26th, 2024, “The Second Work Conference of Sino-Russian Homogeneous University Alliance” was held in University of Sanya. GUAN Zhongliang, Vice President of BJTU, was invited to attend the meeting on behalf of the Sino-Russian Jiaotong University President Alliance and delivered a report entitled "Giving full play to characteristic advantages, Building a Sino-Russian Transportation Community".

 

GUAN Zhongliang briefly presented information on BJTU’s international engagement and summarized the Alliance’s fruitful achievements since its establishment in terms of platform development, talent cultivation, joint research, and personnel exchanges. As 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, as well as the 10th anniversary of Sino-Russian Jiaotong University President Alliance, he expressed his hope for BJTU to actively promote the development of the alliance and conduct omni-directional, multi-level cooperation between transportation universities of China and Russia , so as to serve the national strategy and contribute to the building of a Sino-Russian Transportation Community.

 

The conference was jointly organized by China Center for International People-to-People Exchange, Ministry of Education, University of International Business and Economics and St. Petersburg State University of Economics. XI Ru, Level Official of the Department of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education, as well as Deputy Minister of Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Mogilevski delivered speeches. Nearly 100 representatives from various Sino-Russian university alliances attended the conference.

 

BI Fei, Deputy Director of BJTU’s Office of International Affairs, accompanied the conference and was invited to attend the Chinese Secretary Generals’ Meeting of the Sino-Russian Homogeneous University Alliance.
