BJTU Won Championship at the 7th National College Students Information Security Competition



On 21 July, 2014, the 
7th National College Students Information Security Competition was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. 709 teams of 2,412 students from 112 universities joined the competition and submitted their projects. After online double-blind review of the panel, 135 teams got through to the final. Two teams from Beijing Jiaotong University ultimately stood out from the rest and won the first and second prizes. The group members HAN Ziye, ZHANG Hanbing and LIU Rui from the School of Computer and Information Technology won the championship with their projects of “Android Invisible Eavesdropping Protection System”. LI Lun, LIU Xianzhu and HE Kaidi from the School of Computer and Information Technology formed a group to win the second prize with their projects of “Android privacy Protection System Based on Hardware Key Encryption”. ZHAO Jia from the School of Computer and Information Technology also won the Excellent Guide Teacher Award.

The National College Students Information Security Competition, co-guided by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and the Department of Information Security Coordination, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and hosted by the Information Security Professional Teaching Steering Committee of Ministry of Education, is the national top-level professional college student academic competition in the field of information security. The competition is oriented to the full-time undergraduates and junior college students with the aim of cultivating talents in the area of information security as well as developing scientific innovation and team-work spirit.
