Prof. David Lowe from the University of Sydney Visited BJTU


On the morning of 11 July, 2014, President NING Bin met with Prof. David Lowe, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, the University of Sydney at Siyuan Building.



President NING Bin extended sincere welcome to Prof. David Lowe on behalf of BJTU. He said that both sides have reached broad consensus through BJTU’s visit to the University of Sydney this May and this return visit by Prof. David Lowe. NING hoped that both sides would expand cooperation areas on the present basis of “2+2” undergraduate exchange
programme. Meanwhile, NING hoped to borrow from the experiences of the Global Online Lab at the University of Sydney to explore more opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

David Lowe expressed gratitude to BJTU and made a brief introduction about the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies in terms of academic research and international exchanges. He expected to conduct deeper exchanges and cooperation with BJTU.

ZHAO Peng, Director of the Office of General Administration, CHEN Baoli, Deputy Director of the Office of International Affairs also presented at the meeting.

Before the meeting, Prof. David Lowe had fruitful discussions on current students exchange programs with people from relevant schools. After the meeting, he also visited our State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety.
