Round Table of Vice Presidents of Teaching from Eight Russian Transport Universities Held in BJTU

On the morning of April 25th, 2014, Round table of Vice Presidents of teaching from Russian transport universities titled “Teaching Management and Talent Cultivation in Transport System in Chinese Universities” was held in Multi-function Hall of Hongguoyuan Hotel. Vice presidents from eight Transport Universities in Russia attended this meeting. President NING Bin, Vice President ZHANG Xingchen attended the meeting on behalf of BJTU.

President NING Bin mentioned in his speech that China and Russia had a time-honored friendship as close neighbors. And BJTU had a long-term cooperation with Russian universities, with many teaching staff continuing their study in Russia, who came back to China to make great contributions for the Chinese railway construction in the field of teaching, research and talents cultivation. He looked forward to deeper understanding and profound cooperation between the two countries in transportation area through this meeting. He hoped this meeting would be a platform for the young people of two sides to communicate and exchange ideas and be a model for the bilateral educational exchanges.

Vice President ZHANG Xingchen gave a report on the current situation of higher education in China and undergraduate cultivation of BJTU, focusing on prospects, disciplines and academic arrangement for talents cultivation.

Mr. Vinogradov Valentin, Vice President of Teaching from Moscow State University of Railway Engineering made a report on talents cultivation for transportation enterprises in Russia, introducing features and educational system of railway disciplines and cooperation on talents cultivation between universities and enterprises.

Delegation from both sides also discussed issues concerning talents cultivation system, development for teaching staff, student exchange and joint research in Chinese and Russian universities, which strengthened mutual understanding between universities from both sides, and laid a solid foundation for further cooperation for both sides.
