On the morning of April 1st, 2014, President NING Bin met with Anders Söderholm, President of Mid Sweden University and signed an agreement on student exchange and cooperation at Room 612, Siyuan Building. Hans-Erik Nilsson, Dean of School of Science, Technology and Multimedia, Susanna Öhman, Dean of School of Humanities, and other professors from Mid Swden University also attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Vice President LIU Jun.

President NING Bin extended a warm welcome to their visit, and briefed the delegation history, strong disciplines of Beijing Jiaotong University and its academic achievements in recent years. He pointed out both universities had a long cooperative history of students exchange and looked forward to strengthening further cooperation with Mid Sweden University.

President Anders Söderholm extended sincere gratitude to the hospitality of Beijing Jiaotong University. He gave a brief introduction of the discipline features of Mid Sweden University and cooperation with Chinese universities. He said the previous cooperation achieved fruitful results, and hoped the visit could enhance mutual understanding between both parties and encourage more Chinese and Swedish students to participate in the exchange program as to enrich their experience.

After the meeting, the delegation from Mid Sweden University visited the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, History Museum, and National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet.

CHEN Houjin, Dean of School of Electronic and Information Engineering; DONG Hairong, Deputy Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; WEN Yinghong, Vice Dean of School of Electronic and Information Engineering; ZHANG Li, Vice Dean of School of Economics and Management; HE Jinsheng, Vice Dean of School of Science; and LI Yidong, Vice Dean of School of Computer and Information Technology also attended the meeting.
