Minister of Ministry of Roads, Transport and Tourism of Mongolia Visited BJTU

On the afternoon of September 25th, President NING Bin met with the Mongolian delegation led by Mr. A. Gansukh, Minister of Ministry of Roads, Transport and Tourism, Mongolia, and Mr. Ts. Sukhbaatar, Mongolian Ambassador to China at 701 Conference Room of Siyuan Building.

President NING extended warm welcome to the guests. He said, China and Mongolia had a friendly neighborhood and a long history of cooperation. In recent years, China and Mongolia signed agreements to establish strategic partnership. BJTU attached great importance on cooperation with Mongolia, and trained more than 60 talents for the transportation field of Mongolia. There were over 130 Mongolian students now studying in BJTU. BJTU expected to strengthen cooperation with Mongolia, making new contributions to the development of Mongolian transportation and to enhance the friendship of people from both countries.

Mr. Gansukh expressed his gratitude to BJTU’s hospitality. He said, Mongolia paid much attention to the development of high education in terms of transportation and the cooperation with China. He looked forward to receiving tangible support from Chinese government and universities such as BJTU. He expected further cooperation with BJTU in related areas.

Before the meeting, the delegation met with Mongolian students and visited the History Museum of BJTU. After the meeting, Vice President LIU Jun, on behalf of BJTU, signed the scholarship agreement with Mr. P.Bat- Erdene, CEO of Bureau of Railways of Mongolia. In the next five years both parties will collaboratively cultivate talents for Mongolian transportation.


WU Xuan, XIN Xin, from Office of General Affairs, XU Yugong, CHEN Baoli, from Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, NIE Lei, SHAO Chunfu, from the School of Traffic and Transportation, LIU Yanqing, from Center of International Education, ZHAO Peng, from Capital Management Company, YIN Ji, from Office of External Affairs and JIN Tao, from the School of Graduates also participated in the meeting.
