NING Bin Met with Delegation from Russian Universities

On November 4, 2013, President NING Bin met with the delegation from Far Eastern State Transport University and Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT) from Russia. Vice president LIU Jun also attended the meeting.

 

President NING Bin pointed out BJTU and Russian Universities had a long history of cooperation and exchanges, particularly in areas of joint research and talent training. He also introduced the extensive participation of BJTU in China high-speed railway construction and urban rail transit planning, talent training and other aspects. He hoped that the delegation’ s visit would deepen cooperation between BJTU and Russian Universities, and continuously expand cooperation areas and strengthen efforts on student exchange, staff training, scientific research and information sharing. He also looked forward to more Russia students coming to study at BJTU.


Boris Dynkin, President ofFar Eastern State Transport University, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He introduced the historic development, disciplines and other basic aspects of the University, highlighting the University’s participation in the construction of Russia railways and the International Association of Asia-Pacific Transport Universities. Vladimir Glazkov, Vice President of Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (MIIT), introduced the educational development of Russia and the education cooperation between China and Russia. He said that the the development of transport will vigorously promote that of trade and economy, and he sincerely looked forward to expanding cooperation with BJTU.

After the meeting, the delegation visited the University Museum, State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety, Traffic and Transport Laboratory and Structural Strength Testing State Approved Laboratory.
