On April 23th, 2014, Professor LIN Yiping, professor of National Chiao Tung University, Professor CHEN Yugao, from National Taiwan University, and PENG Lichun, Deputy Director of Taiwan Science and Education Development and Cooperation Department and advisor of Li Kuo-ting Technology development Foundation visited BJTU. President NING Bin and Vice President LIU Jun met with the delegation.

President NING Bin extended his welcome to the delegation on behalf of BJTU and extended his gratitude to Professor LIN for his contributions in discipline construction and academic research of BJTU as Consulting Professor. Vice President LIU Jun briefly introduced BJTU on historic development, discipline features, new campus construction and development of Weihai International School.

Professor LIN recalled the long-lasting friendship between NCTU and BJTU, and looked forward to expansion of our cooperation and more tangible achievements.

During the visit, Professor LIN Yiping gave a speech titled "Hamming's View on Research" to BJTU students and visited National Engineering Laboratory for Next Generation Internet.
