Mr. WU Qiang was born in Beijing in December 1963 while his native place is in Dongyang, Zhejiang. He became a member of CPC in January, 1985. He received his B.S. in Railway Engineering from NJTU in July 1986. He received his M.S. in Software Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in December 2010. He studied in the class for young and middle-aged cadres in National Education and Administration School from September to November in 2008.

Mr. WU served as Secretary of League Branch at the School of Civil Engineering of Northern Jiaotong University (NJTU), Vice President of Geotechnical Institute, Director of Office and Vice Secretary of Party Branch for Civil Engineering School, Director of Office of Students’ Affairs, Director of Students’ Military Training Office and Director of President Office. He was appointed Assistant President of BJTU in 2010.
