Mr. ZHENG Guangtian was born in Xi County, Henan Province in September 1962 and became a member of CPC in November 1991. He studied Thermal Power Equipment in Beijing Electric Power University from September 1982 to January 1985. Then from September 1987 to July 1993 he studied Thermal Power in North China Electric Power University. Later he studied in the class for young and middle-aged cadres of Chinese Education and Administration School from September 2010 to November 2010. From January to April 1985, he worked as a technician in Baoding Electric Power Engineering Department. From May 1985 to May 1988, he worked as a teacher in Department of Dynamics of Baoding Electric Power Institute. From May 1988 to September 1998, he worked in Beijing Electric Power Technical College and severed successfully as Office staff, Deputy Director and Director of Office of Personnel, assistant president and vice president. Then he was appointed Vice President of Beijing Electric Power Higher Specialty Institute and worked from September 1998 to April 2000. From April 2000 to October 2010, Mr.Zheng worked as Chairman and Secretary of Party Branch for Northern Jiaotong University and General Manager and Sectary of Party Branch for BJTU. He was appointed Assistant President of BJTU on November 5th,2010.
