On the afternoon of March 14, 2016, Vice President CHEN Feng met with the delegation of 10 people led by Mr. Christian Kern, CEO of Austrian Federal Railways (OBB) and Ms. Regina Figl, Minister of the Austrian Embassy in China.

First, CHEN Feng extended warm welcome to the guests and introduced the international joint research and close links with industries of BJTU. Then, he introduced its active participation in the national initiative of “Going Global” and the effective attempts to implement the idea of “Putting Education First”. Then, Mr. Christian Kern introduced the problems facing by the European railway and spoke highly of the rapid development of China’s high-speed railway as well as the contributions made by BJTU. Later, Prof. TANG Tao introduced the latest research results from the Key Lab. Afterwards, both sides reached consensuses on the future high-speed railway cooperation.  

The guests also visited the State Key Lab of Railway Traffic Control and Safety and other related laboratories.

4 members from Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and principals form the State Key Lab of Railway Traffic Control and Safety, Office of Research, Office of International Affairs and School of Traffic and Transportation were also present at the meeting.
