On the afternoon of December 1, 2015, President NING Bin met with Mr. Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, Chairman of Malaysian Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD), Mr. Tung KokKeok, President of Malaysia-China Economics Coopertion and Development Center and Mr. Zachary, Special Assistant of Chairman of SPAD. Academician Mr. HE Huawu, Chief Engineer of China Railway Corporation (CRC) was invited to attend the meeting.
Both sides have reached consensuses on the future exchange and cooperation conducted in railway between BJTU and Malaysian universities. Academician HE Huawu said BJTU boasts experienced training on railway technology. He hoped that both sides would carry out extensive and productive cooperation.
After the meeting, accompanied by President NING Bin and Academician HE Huawu, the guests visited the State Key Laboratory of Rail Traffic Control and Safety.
Principals from the Department of International Cooperation of National Reform and Development Commission, Department of International Cooperation of China Railway Corporation, China Railway International Group (Asia Branch) as well as the Office of Research, Office of International Affairs, State Key Lab of Rail Traffic Control and Safety and School of Traffic and Transportation of BJTU were also present at the meeting.
