On October 21, 2015, Mr. CAO Guoyong, Chairman of the University Council met with the delegation from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, led by Gordon Barnhart (Interim President and Vice Chancellor). Both sides reviewed the existing cooperation of language teaching and training and reached consensuses on further expanding cooperative areas on talent cultivation, scientific research and faculty training.  

Principals from the School of Languages and Communication Studies, Office of Academic Affairs and Office of International Affairs were also present at the meeting.
