Education Delegation from Confucius Institute of the University of Malaysia, Pahang Visited BJTU

On the afternoon of September 22, President YU Zujun met with the visiting education delegation of the Confucius Institute of the University of Malaysia, Pahang. The main members of the delegation included Professor Yuserrie Bin Zainuddin, President of the University of Malaysia, Pahang, Ahmad Rizal bin Adnan, Deputy Director-General of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia , Jamalulail bin Abu Bakar, Director of the Human Capital Development Department of the Malaysian Public Service Bureau, and the deans of the faculty of electromechanical, civil engineering and electrical engineering of the University of Malaysia, Pahang, in the company of BJTU’s Vice President YAN Xuedong.

YU Zujun welcomed the visit of the education delegation to China, and gave a brief introduction to BJTU's history, discipline settings, international exchanges and contribution to major national rail transit construction in recent years. He pointed out that with the strong support of the two governments, the two universities have worked together to make remarkable progress in the double degree program, and he hoped that the two sides will further deepen cooperation in the fields of talent training, engineering and technical personnel training on the basis of the existing cooperation, and explore potential cooperation in automation, artificial intelligence and other disciplines.

On behalf of the education delegation, Yuserrie Bin Zainuddin, President of the University of Malaysia, Pahang, thanked BJTU for its warm reception, and reviewed the history and achievements of the cooperation between the two universities, expressed his gratitude to BJTU for accepting and training double-degree students from the University of Malaysia, Pahang, and looked forward to increasing the number of students and expanding the professional fields in the future, so as to provide more professional and technical personnel support for the construction of the East Coast Railway in Malaysia.

The meeting was also attended by relevant responsible personnel from the School of Civil Engineering, the School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering,the School of Electrical Engineering, the College of International Education, and the Office of International Affairs.
