The reception for foreign experts on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on September 28, 2014. Mr. LIU Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, on behalf of the Chinese government and President XI Jinping, extended warm welcome and expressed sincere gratitude to those foreign experts and friends who had supported and participated in the construction work of China’s reform. Over 10 people including Vice President CHEN Feng and foreign expert Prof. Jin Ho Kwak from BJTU attended the reception.



Being the member of the “1000 Talent Plan”, Prof. Jin Ho Kwak was invited to the reception as the representative of the winners for 2014 Chinese government “Friendship Award”. Besides, Prof. Yukio Tamura, Distinguished Professor from the School of Civil Engineering and Director of the Wind Engineering Research Center, Prof. Hansen Ingo, senior expert from the School of Traffic and Transportation, Prof. XU Youlin and Prof. XIE Zhigang from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Dr. Henn Marc from the School of Mechanical, Electronic and Control Engineering were also present at the reception.
