On the morning of February 24th, President NING Bin met with David Weedon, President of Institution of Railway Signal Engineers (IRSE), UK at Conference Room 712, Siyuan Building. LONG Zhenbang, Vice President of IRSE Hong Kong Section, Mr. SONG Yuanfa, Secretary-general of IRSE Hong Kong Section, and Mr. PENG Guowei, Manager of Beijing MTR Corporation Limited also attended the meeting.
President NING extended a warm welcome to their visit and briefed the academic accomplishments that BJTU achieved in railway development. Mr. David Weedon expressed his willingness to conduct bilateral cooperation with BJTU in the field of railway control and safety. The two sides also discussed the preparation of IRSE Mainland China section and the schedule for 2016 IRSE annual meeting.
