In the afternoon of September 10, 2013, Vice President Prof. LIU Jun met with Vice President Prof. Jan Cornelis from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Belgium and Ms. TONG Xiaohong, Representative of VUB in China. The Cooperation Agreement on Academic and Cultural Exchange and Cooperation between BJTU and VUB was signed.

Prof. LIU Jun extended his cordial welcome to the guests and made a brief introduction of BJTU in terms of history, disciplines, research and internationalization. Prof. LIU said that he hope both universities could enhance cooperation and call for further cooperation in areas such as students and staff exchange, joint research and joint cultivation.

Prof. Jan Cornelis emphasized the strengths of VUB in internationalization and university-industry cooperation. He also introduced the programs of Joint-Cultivation of Master Degree Students and Joint-Supervision of Ph.D. candidates in detail.
