About us
Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is a national key university directly administered by the Ministry of Education and jointly supported by the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Transport, Beijing Municipal Government, and China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. BJTU actively contributes to the "National 211 Project", the "985 Innovative Platforms for Key Disciplines Project", and the "Double First-Class" construction.
School of Economics and Management has developed in close correlation with the destiny of the nation and the growth of the university for over a century, persevering through the passage of time and becoming increasingly distinctive.
In 1996, School of Economics and Management was established through the integration of School of Economics, Department of Industrial and Construction Management Engineering, and Department of Material Management Engineering. The development of the School entered a new stage. In 2011, the School was approved as one of the 17 pilot schools by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2019, the School ranked 10th in the Best Business Schools in China by Eduniversal, receiving 3 PALMS. The three primary disciplines of the School are among the top-ranking disciplines in the national discipline assessment. Among them, the discipline of Management Science and Engineering ranks in the top 10%, with an A- rating; the discipline of Applied Economics ranks in the top 20%, with a B+ rating; and the discipline of Business Administration ranks in the top 20%, with a B+ rating. The disciplines of Economics and Management are also listed in the "QS World University Rankings by Subject", showcasing the strong comprehensive strength of the School. The School has obtained international accreditations, including EQUIS in February 2021, AACSB in July 2021, and AMBA & BGA joint accreditation in December 2021, becoming the 116th business school in the world, the 13th in mainland China, and the 3rd in Beijing to be accredited by the three major international organizations. It is also the first business school in China to pass the three major international accreditations within one year, indicating that the School's educational quality has reached the internationally recognized first-class level.

Job positions
School of Economics and Management follows tenure-track system. We are actively seeking exceptional talents in Applied Economics, Business Administration, Management Science and Engineering, and Public Management from both domestic and international applicants.
1. Assistant professor, pre-appointed associate professor
(1) Candidates should be under 35 years old. The age limit may be appropriately relaxed for outstanding candidates.
(2) Candidates should possess a strong academic background, excellent teaching skills, the ability to conduct independent research, and a solid research foundation. They should have a clear research direction and show outstanding potential for future development. Specifically, for the position of Associate Professor, candidates should have achieved notable academic achievements in their field.
2. Long-appointed associate professor
(1) Candidates should be under 43 years old. The age limit may be appropriately relaxed for outstanding candidates.
(2) Possess excellent teaching abilities, capable of supervising graduate students, and have achieved significant and original research results in their field with recognized reputation and influence. The qualifications should be at the level of a tenured Associate Professor at a world-class university.
3. Long professor (tenure-track)
(1) Candidates should be under 50 years old. The age limit may be appropriately relaxed for outstanding candidates.
(2) Demonstrate outstanding performance in teaching and graduate student supervision, achieve excellent results, and make significant achievements in their field, including original and groundbreaking research outcomes or remarkable contributions to national strategies and economic and social development. Possess significant international reputation and influence, with qualifications equivalent to a tenured Lifetime Professor at a world-class university.
Support
1. Remuneration: During the term of employment, a basic annual salary will be provided under the basic salary system, jointly supported by the university and the school. The appointee will also be eligible for school rewards for performance, research achievements, and other income from social services, etc.
