Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) is a national key university directly administered by the Ministry of Education and jointly supported by the Ministry of Transport, Beijing Municipal Government, and China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. Requirements
1. Exhibits a positive attitude towards China, demonstrates professional integrity, and possesses high academic and professional competence.
2. Maintains a strong sense of morality and follows the professional code of ethics for university faculty members, including ethical norms for academic research and other professional conduct.
3. Possesses a solid knowledge base, good physical health, abundant energy, and is qualified for teaching and research.
4. Holds a strong educational background, including a doctoral degree, and has obtained relevant diplomas and degrees at various levels of education.
Job positions and Remuneration
I. Outstanding Hundred Talents Program
The first and second level of the program aims at attracting globally renowned scholars and academic leaders with outstanding academic achievements at the world leading or advanced level, and possession of strategic and creative ideas for discipline development. Remuneration and support will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
The third and fourth level of the program aims at recruiting exceptional young scholars who have already achieved leadership positions in his/her field in China, and possessed the academic capacity to support the discipline in maintaining or attaining a leading position nationally and creating an impact globally.
Basic requirements:
For the third level, candidates should be under 40 years old.
For the fourth level, candidates should be under 35 years old.
For candidates with outstanding achievements in the fields of humanities and social sciences, or exceptional research accomplishments, the age requirement may be appropriately relaxed.
Remuneration and working conditions:
1. The minimum annual salary is 600,000 CNY for the third level and 450,000 CNY for the fourth level. In addition, candidates will be eligible for performance-based bonuses, research performance incentives and other social service income as well as a dynamic salary growth mechanism.
2. Apartments on campus will be provided for renting.
3. Settlement allowance ranging from 500,000 CNY to 1,000,000 CNY.
4. Research start-up fund: 300,000 CNY to 2000,000 CNY for natural sciences and 100,000 CNY to 500,000 CNY for humanities and social sciences.
5. Appointment as a doctoral supervisor.
6. Assistance with household registration, children's schooling in kindergarten and schools, and other relevant policies within the policy permission.
II. Young Talents Cultivation Program
The program aims at introducing and cultivating outstanding young talents who have achieved significant academic achievements, demonstrated good potential for academic development in terms of publishing papers, conducting research projects, or engaging in technology transfer of scientific and technological achievements.
Basic requirements:
Candidates for Young Talents Class I should be under 40 years old, while those for Young Talents Class II should be under 35 years old. For candidates in humanities and social sciences or those with outstanding achievements, the age limit may be appropriately relaxed.
Remuneration and working conditions:
1. In addition to the regular salary and benefits of the position, an additional cultivation allowance will be provided. The cultivation allowance for Young Talents Class I is 120,000 CNY per year and for Young Talents Class II is 60,000 CNY per year.
2. Depending on the situation, candidates may be appointed to positions of Associate Professor or above.
3. Research start-up fund, settling-in allowance, rental subsidy and other benefits will be provided according to the corresponding standards of the "Outstanding Faculty Supplement Plan" based on the position.
4. Assistance will be provided within the policy scope for household registration, enrollment of children in kindergartens/schools, etc.
III. Outstanding Faculty Supplement Plan
Basic requirements:
1. For the position of Professor, the candidates should be under 45 years old.
2. For the position of Associate Professor, the candidates should be under 38 years old.
3. For the position of Lecturer, the candidates should be under 35 years old.
4. For the position of Postdoctoral Fellow, the candidates should be under 33 years old.
The age requirements may be appropriately relaxed for candidates with outstanding achievements or in the field of humanities and social sciences.

Faculty postdoctoral fellow |
For those who enter the postdoctoral station within the university: funding for postdoctoral research and housing benefits will be provided, with salary reference to the lecturer position. Upon exiting the postdoctoral station and being employed as a lecturer, the above-mentioned benefits will be granted according to the lecturer position. For those who enter the postdoctoral station out of the university: Upon exiting the postdoctoral station and being employed as a lecturer, the above-mentioned benefits will be granted according to the lecturer position and 50,000 CNY. |
