Delegation from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University Visited BJTU





On the morning of April 23, 2015, Mr. CAO Guoyong, Chairman of the University Council, met with Prof. Steef van de velde (Dean) and Prof. ZHANG Ying (Vice Dean) from Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University, the Netherlands.

First, Mr. CAO Guoyong extended welcome to the guests. Then, he pointed out that both sides have made remarkable progress and achievements on mutual cooperation since the BJTU delegation visited Erasmus University and RSM last May. He hoped that both sides would, on the foundation of joint master degree programs, further strengthen research collaboration on Supply Chain and Logistics, establish the Sino-European Logistics International Joint Research Center as soon as possible and advance cooperation on high-level scientific research and talent cultivation.

Prof. Steef van de velde expressed gratitude to BJTU for the hospitality and introduced the development and future planning of RSM. He said he was greatly impressed by the rapid development of Weihai Campus. The Rotterdam School of Management has attached great importance to the cooperation with BJTU. He hoped that this visit would further promote cooperation with BJTU on high-level scientific research and talent cultivation, which lay solid foundations for the future establishment of Joint Research Center.



Before the meeting, Assistant President XU Yugong introduced the current construction, development and future planning of Weihai Campus. Both sides exchanged views and reached consensus on future cooperation at Weihai Campus.

Principals from the School of Economics and Management and Weihai Campus were also present at the meeting.
