This course addresses the representation, analysis, and design of discrete time signals and systems. The major concepts covered include: Time-domain, frequency-domain and z-domain analysis of discrete signals and systems; sampling of continuous-time signals; DFT and applications; FFT algorithms; design techniques for IIR and FIR filters; the estimation of the power spectrum; introduction to multirate digital signal processing and filter banks; introduction to wavelet analysis and applications.
