20L639Q Dynamic System and Control

(4 credits, 64 hours, Specialty Major Course, Specialty Elective Course, Specialty: International Class, Prerequisites: Theoretical Mechanics, Vehicle Engineering)
This is a core major course for international class in School of MECE which combines theoretical study with practical application. Students will learn about basic knowledge, relevant safety criterion, methods of establishing railway vehicle system dynamics and controlling methods utilized in EMU. It well accommodates with the rapid development of new technology and large demand of Chinese high speed train.
This course talks about the current status and future developments of railway vehicle, operation safety standards, wheel/rail contact theory, relationship between suspension device and systematic dynamic performance, track condition and random excitation, vehicle dynamic modeling approach as well as basic control theory and methodology for railway vehicle.
