Project management is a course designed for Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students, which aims to develop students’ capability in scheduling projects, controlling costs, and ensuring projects’ quality, and to offer them an opportunity to practice for their future career.
This course contains the nine knowledge areas in PMBOK, which are Project Integration Management, Project Scope Management, Project Time Management, Project Cost Management, Project Quality Management, Project Human Resource Management, Project Communications Management, Project Risk Management, and Project Procurement Management, and also introduces the widely-used FEL process. Special attentions are given to case studies, by which students may well develop their capability in dealing with real problems. More time are assigned to analyze real cases and help students to develop their capability in team work.
