“Quality Management and Reliability” is a main course for the Industrial Engineering Major. The course focuses on fundamental theories and application of Statistical Quality Control (SQC) and reliability/maintenance with the following topics: process control, process capability analysis, experiment design, reliability and maintenance. It involves a series of experiments and project-based learning activities.
With intensive experiments and practices involved, the course is aimed at developing students’ capability to analyze and solve problems, such as the knowledge of quality management and reliability, deduction skills and experiment and research capabilities. The project-oriented course is taught in English. Students are expected to value teamwork, work on reports and oral presentation, and improve their English proficiency.
